Currently, our blend contains coffees from Tanzania (20%), Colombia (20%), and Guatemala (60%). Though the coffees comprising our blend change throughout the year, our goal is always to present something round and rich, with a comforting cola-sweetness that is amenable to a variety of brewing methods. In our own cafes, the Blend will often be served as espresso for milk-based beverages, because we believe that its mild brightness and syrupy body are perfectly suited for larger, cozier concoctions.

Bulambuli Kwigaite - Uganda 333g

Bulambuli Kwigaite is a cooperative in eastern Uganda, near the Kenyan border. This sweet, fruity dry-process coffee is our first from Uganda, and is part of the NKG Bloom initiative, which provides money advances, agriculture and business training, and soil analysis and fertilizer application to participating farmers. In the cup, we taste watermelon, candied apple and starfruit.

La Colmena is a small blend from Huila, Colombia featuring the Montanchez family and Pastor Ordoñez. They are all members of Monkaaba—a coffee grower empowerment group partnered with Semilla, our importers. Translating to "the beehive," this blend features both young and veteran growers. In the cup, we taste cacao, brown sugar, green apple.

Yuri Montanchez - Colombia 333g

Yuri Montanchez is a woman producer in Huila Colombia. This is her first export of microlot quality, and we committed to her entire harvest. You'll find Yuri and her brothers' shared farm lots in other coffees on our seasonal menu (Colmena and Guarapo). This coffee is Yuri's exclusive plot, where she grows 100% Supremo varietal. This coffee presents a delicate pomaceous fruit, and vanilla-cream flavour profile. In the cup, we taste yellow plum, chantilly cream, and orange blossom.

Decaf Guarapo - Colombia 333g

Guarapo is a decaf blend brought to us by 17 smallholder farmers in Hulia, Colombia, represented by the grower empowerment network Monkaaba in partnership with our importer, Semilla Coffee. Naturally sweetened in the decaffeination process by organic sugarcane-derived Ethyl Acetate, Guarapo is named after the fresh-pressed sugarcane juice enjoyed by local cafeteros. In the cup, we taste graham cracker, caramel and green apple.
